Common Questions About Mental Health IOP
Virtual IOP (intensive outpatient program) is a structured level of mental health care that typically involves 9 or more hours of group and individual therapy per week. NRC delivers this care entirely online — no travel required. You join sessions from home on a schedule that fits around work, school, or family.
NRC’s program is designed for adults in Nevada living with serious mental health conditions — including depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, bipolar disorder, OCD, and psychosis. The right fit is someone who needs more support than weekly therapy can provide but does not require inpatient or crisis-level care.
Yes. Your participation in NRC’s program is protected by HIPAA and Nevada state privacy laws. We do not share your health information without your written consent, except as required by law in cases of imminent safety risk.
Your first week includes an intake assessment with our clinical team, an orientation to the program schedule, and your first group sessions. Most clients describe the first week as more structured than they expected — that’s intentional. The schedule is the support.
Many plans do. Under federal mental health parity law, most commercial insurance plans are required to cover mental health IOP at the same level as medical benefits. NRC works with most major commercial plans. Call us or use our insurance verification form to check your specific coverage before you start.
