What Is Virtual Mental Health IOP?

A virtual intensive outpatient program is a structured level of mental health treatment delivered online. It provides multiple therapy sessions per week — group and individual — with the same clinical rigor as an in-person program. The difference is where you are when you log on.

IOP is designed for people who need more than a weekly therapy appointment but don’t need inpatient-level care. Research shows telehealth IOP produces clinical outcomes comparable to in-person programs for both anxiety and depression.

That means you can get intensive, evidence-based care from your living room, your office, or wherever you have a private space and an internet connection.

Mental Health Conditions We Treat

Nevada Recovery Collective’s virtual IOP is built for adults working through serious mental health conditions. Not surface-level support. Real, structured treatment for people who need more than a weekly appointment.

Depression

Major depressive disorder. Persistent depressive disorder. The kind that makes it hard to function, hard to see a way forward. IOP gives you the structure and clinical support to start changing that — without leaving your life behind.

Trauma and PTSD

Trauma doesn’t follow a schedule. Treatment for it needs to be consistent, safe, and clinically sound. NRC’s IOP uses trauma-informed approaches delivered by therapists trained to work with PTSD and complex trauma.

Your Job. Your Family. Your Treatment. All at Once.

Most people who need mental health treatment don’t get it. Not because they don’t want help — because they can’t afford to disappear. They have jobs. Kids. Rent. Responsibilities that don’t pause because something is wrong.

Virtual IOP means intensive mental health treatment from home, on a schedule structured around your week. You log on. You do the work. And your life keeps moving.

Sessions happen on your screen. No parking lot. No lobby. No one sees you walk in. Privacy that in-person treatment cannot match.

Sessions are scheduled around work and family commitments, with flexible scheduling including evening sessions. The program fits your life, not the other way around.

It doesn’t matter if you’re in Las Vegas, Reno, Henderson, Sparks, Carson City, or a rural town an hour from the nearest clinic. If you’re in Nevada, we’re there.

Virtual IOP is not just video calls with a therapist. It’s a structured, multi-session-per-week program with group therapy, individual therapy, and between-session support — the same clinical rigor as in-person care, delivered through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform.

Why Nevada Recovery Collective

Every major virtual IOP can technically serve Nevada. Most were built somewhere else — and Nevada is just another pin on their license map. NRC exists because Nevada deserves better than that.
Nevada-Licensed Therapists

Nevada-Licensed Therapists

Every clinician at NRC is licensed in Nevada. They understand Nevada's insurance landscape, Nevada's communities, and the specific pressures of life in this state.

Virtual-Only by Design

Virtual-Only by Design

This isn't a clinic that added a Zoom option. Virtual IOP is the entire program — every piece of it designed for the virtual format from day one.

Evidence-Based Treatment

Evidence-Based Treatment

Every technique in the program has been tested, studied, and proven effective. Cognitive-behavioral therapy. Dialectical behavior therapy. Trauma-informed care.

Founded by Nevada Clinicians

What the Program Looks Like

Three core elements. One structured program. Delivered from wherever you are in Nevada.

Group Therapy

Multiple sessions per week of group therapy with a licensed Nevada therapist. Groups are kept small on purpose. You build real connection with people working through similar experiences.

Individual Therapy

One-on-one sessions with your therapist each week. This is where the personalized work happens — specific to where you are and what you're dealing with.

What You Need

A private space, an internet connection, and a device with a camera. Sessions take place on a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. Program length is individualized based on clinical need.

Yes. Research has found that virtual IOP produces clinical outcomes comparable to in-person programs. A 2021 study found no significant differences in anxiety or depression outcomes between telehealth and in-person IOP. The format changes. The clinical work doesn’t.

That’s the design. Sessions are scheduled around work and family commitments, with flexible scheduling including evening sessions. You don’t need to take leave or rearrange your entire life to get treatment.
